Corpse Revivers are an entire family of cocktails that were originally intended as “hair of the dog” drinks, to be consumed in the morning as a hangover cure. The great 1920s bartender Harry Craddock prescribed the Corpse Reviver #1, “To be taken before 11 am, or whenever steam and energy are needed.”

Despite the spooky name, the Corpse Reviver #1 is a very elegant cocktail with rich autumnal flavors. Ours features Coquard Brandy, Wisconsin Apple Brandy and the new Wollersheim Vermouth.

Corpse Reviver #1

  • 1 ½ oz Press House Brandy
  • ¾ oz Wisconsin Apple Brandy
  • ¾ oz Wollersheim Vermouth
  • Stir all ingredients with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
