The Manhattan cocktail is one of the most famous drinks in the cocktail canon. While the original version used rye whiskey, in Wisconsin, it’s very common to substitute brandy. Some cocktail books may refer to this drink as the Harvard cocktail and others the Metropolitan, but it is most often referred to as the Brandy Manhattan.

This drink requires only three ingredients in easy to remember proportions (2:1:2). That is two parts brandy, 1 part sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of bitters. Our recently released Wollersheim Vermouth, which is aromatized with Wisconsin-grown botanicals, marries perfectly with the subtle sweetness of the Press House Brandy in this classic cocktail.
