The French 75 is said to be named after the French 75mm field gun used during the first world war. While it can be served with either gin or brandy, here we present the famed cocktail made with Coquard Brandy, similar in style to the Cognac-based version served at the famed Arnaud’s French 75 bar in New Orleans.

The combination of Coquard Brandy and sparkling wine makes for a refreshing and refined cocktail perfect for celebrations or any time.

French 75

  • 1 ½ oz Coquard Brandy
  • ¼ oz Lemon Juice
  • ¼ oz Simple Syrup
  • 4 oz Cremant de Bourgogne
  • Lemon twist for garnish
  • Shake Coquard Brandy, lemon juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a chilled champagne flute. Top slowly with 3-4 oz of Cremant de Bourgogne, and garnish with a lemon twist.
