We are proud to introduce its Special Lambeau Field Edition Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon, a bold Wisconsin collaboration that brings together the craftsmanship of the winery and distillery in one exceptional bottle.

Originally introduced in 2022, our Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon maturation process begins in American oak barrels, then finishes in freshly emptied Two Mile Bourbon barrels from Wollersheim Distillery for a total of 12 months. This imbues the Cabernet with rich notes of toast, vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate, and oak.

The winery and distillery at Wollersheim work hand in hand. Because the distillery is on the same property, the barrels arrive at the winery fresh from aging Two Mile Bourbon, allowing the Cabernet Sauvignon to capture bold bourbon character that would otherwise be lost over time.

“Having both a winery and a distillery gives us a unique opportunity to create something very few wineries can,” said Philippe Coquard, President and Winemaker at Wollersheim Winery & Distillery. “The fresh bourbon barrels bring remarkable depth and complexity to the wine while celebrating the craftsmanship that defines Wisconsin.”

To celebrate Wollersheim’s partnership with the Green Bay Packers, the winery has also released a limited Lambeau Field Special Edition featuring a commemorative label honoring one of Wisconsin’s most iconic landmarks.

The wine is dry and pairs beautifully with steak, grilled foods, and hearty fare, making it a natural companion for gatherings throughout football season! A votre santé!
