Harvest 2026 is complete! We work toward harvest all year—it’s our one opportunity to create a new vintage of each wine.
The vineyard was more challenging to harvest this year. The different grape varieties all seemed to be ready at the same time. For a few fields, we had to dodge showers and reschedule last minute—kudos to our crew for their flexibility! Thanks to Robby’s vineyard management we grew beautiful fruit – perfectly ripe flavors and tannins, which we look for when producing red wines with balance.
Our last field of grapes for our Domaine Reserve was hand-harvested on September 16. It is our steepest vineyard and our oldest at over 50 years.
There’s an indescribable aroma around the tanks and cellar this time of year—jammy red fruit, fresh green leaves, waves of tropical fruit and citrus. It changes every hour as the yeast do their jobs and we do ours to support the fermentation, guiding them into the wines we love to share! Our first taste of the 2026 vintage will be Ruby Nouveau 2026, released on Thursday, November 19th.
