Wollersheim Winery & Distillery: A Year in Reflection

As we bid farewell to 2023, we take a moment to reflect on the journey we’ve traversed together at Wollersheim Winery & Distillery—a year marked by resilience, growth, and the unwavering commitment of our dedicated team.

Annual Port Wine Celebration: A Toast to Tradition

Our journey commenced with the warmth and joy of our Annual Port Wine Celebration, held each January. Little did we know, this celebration would set the stage for a year of triumphs and challenges.

Nature’s Challenges: From Freeze to Ice Wine Harvest

Spring brought unexpected challenges as an extreme freeze took its toll, claiming around 75% of our red grape crop. Undeterred, our vineyard crew faced adversity head-on, tending to the remaining grapes through droughts. Their dedication and expertise shone through, yielding a high-quality crop culminating in a successful Ice Wine harvest. Despite the scarcity of cold days, the perseverance of our team prevailed.

Iconic Collaboration: Wollersheim Winery & Green Bay Packers Unite

The historic collaboration brings together two iconic Wisconsin brands, culminating in the unveiling of the Wollersheim Bar at Lambeau Field’s third concourse. Patrons can enjoy a selection of our wines, including Prairie Fumé and Scarlet Fumé, enhancing the Lambeau Field experience. Philippe and Julie Coquard, owners at Wollersheim, expressed deep honor in standing alongside the Packers, sharing a commitment to excellence and community. From signature minis available stadium-wide to full-size bottles in suites, this partnership invites all fans to raise a glass to camaraderie, tradition, and shared passion.

Distillery Advancements: Elevating and Expanding Craftsmanship

In our ongoing pursuit of excellence, we introduced a new Vendome still to our distillery, a significant milestone that amplifies our production capabilities for Bourbon and Brandy. Paired with the expansion of our Grand Vintage Storage Facility, which can now accommodate over 3000 barrels, this addition ensures that the craftsmanship and quality synonymous with Wollersheim continue to reach new heights.

The new barrel storage has a capacity of over 3000 barrels.

Family Reserve Wisconsin Bourbon: A Storied Release

A crowning jewel in our year was the inaugural release of Family Reserve Wisconsin Bourbon, a testament to our commitment to tradition and craft. This limited-edition bourbon is a carefully curated blend of the finest barrels, showcasing the artistry of our distillers. Aged to perfection, it offers a harmonious symphony of flavors, embodying the essence of Wisconsin’s rich distilling heritage.

A Culinary Transformation at Wollersheim Bistro

After a remodel, our Bistro has found its home on the vintage winery’s main level. With stylish awnings, enhanced lighting, and an open floor plan, the inviting space complements Wollersheim’s French charm. Featuring delightful seasonal menus with locally sourced ingredients. Whether you’re a foodie, wine enthusiast, or someone seeking a relaxing meal, join us to Gather, Sip, and Savor in our warm and inviting atmosphere.
