With the changing of the seasons and a successful Wisconsin harvest now behind us, we are looking forward to our upcoming slate of new releases, new menus, and the first taste of the 2021 vintage.

Join us in the wine garden on Thursday, November 18th at 11:30am for the annual barrel tapping of Ruby Nouveau. Each year we enjoy Ruby Nouveau as the first taste of the new harvest and as a tribute to the tradition of our winemaker’s birthplace, Beaujolais, France. A traditional Beaujolais Nouveau is released during the same fall in which the grapes are picked. Just as is custom in Beaujolais, our Ruby Nouveau is released at the winery ever year on the third Thursday in November.

Ruby Nouveau has a beautiful hue and is made using a short fermentation technique, resulting in a light, fresh, and fruity wine with delicious flavors reminiscent of raspberry, violet and red currant.

Winemaker Philippe taps a barrel of Ruby Nouveau.

At the celebration, we will also be releasing the 2020 vintage of Domaine Reserve and the 2021 vintage of Prairie Blush, some of our most popular estate grown wines. Prairie Blush is a bright and fruity, semi-dry blush with tasting notes reminiscent of grapefruit and tart cherry. This blush has been the recipient of numerous national awards for best blush. Domaine Reserve is a single-field wine made from the oldest vines on our estate. Traditional fermentation and one year spent inside Wisconsin and French Oak barrels brings out the tastes of spice, mulberry, and blackberry.

Single Barrel Bourbon and Single Barrel Rye will be release on Nov. 11th at the distillery.

The distillery will also be joining in with the exciting releases of our next Single Barrel Bourbon and Single Barrel Rye on Thursday, November 11th. The barrels are tasted and hand selected by our Distiller, Tom Lenerz, and our Winemaker, Philippe Coquard, for their outstanding and unique characteristics. While you stop by to pick up your bottles, don’t forget to try some of the new cocktails on our updated seasonal cocktail menu. The menu features all things fall, including locally roasted John Joseph Coffee, Chai-infused whipped cream, and Chamomile-infused Brandy.

Toasted sandwiches and soups to warm you up from the inside-out.

But the taste of the season doesn’t stop there! Grab a seat at the Bistro and enjoy our new fall menu featuring warm toasted sandwiches, house-made soups, and delectable desserts. Our personal favorite may be The Gobbler made with turkey, Willow Creek bacon, and pesto mayo. When you pair that with a bowl of Butternut Squash soup made from locally sourced produce, you have a truly tasty and heartwarming meal.

Autumn, here we come!
