Come bump elbows and have a barrel of fun with Distiller Tom and Winemaker Philippe on March 7th at our Open House Celebration and the release of our Bottled-in-Bond American Brandy!
The celebration and Brandy release will begin at 10am and the day will be filled to the brim with Wollersheim fun including guided tours, cooking demos from Wollersheim Bistro, cocktails, tastings and more.
We recommend kicking off your visit with a complimentary behind the scenes tour of our ground-to-glass facility complete with our grainery, cooking and fermentation room, the stillhouse, the bottling line, and our specially engineered aging room where our barrels spend months and years maturing.
One of those spirits is our upcoming Bottled-in-Bond American Brandy, which will be released at the celebration.
Brandy is a core tenant of who we are. When we first began distilling, brandy was the first thing that came off our still and the first liquid that hit our shelves. Though we have released various types of Brandy and other spirits in the days since, this upcoming release returns us to our roots and will certainly be special in its own right.
Bottled-in-Bond American Brandy is a true American brandy distilled to 100 proof from Wisconsin white wine and aged in new Brandy Toasted oak barrels. This is the only brandy we have released that will have the Bottled-in-Bond designee.
The Brandy is bottled from a limited selection of barrels distilled and barreled in the same season — showcasing the flavors of each individual harvest. Like our Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon, it will feature a Wisconsin sticker with the details of when it was distilled and bottled, as well as its age.
To celebrate this new arrival in style, we will also be hosting a special cooking demonstration from our very-own Chef Romain of Wollersheim Bistro! Chef Romain will share tips on cooking with wine and spirits as he prepares tasty dishes to sample featuring our wine and our newly-released Bottled-in-Bond Brandy. Both products will be featured in one demonstration at 11am in our Vineyard Room at the winery.
To keep the good times rolling we will be offering several additional paid flight options of our Wisconsin-grown spirits as well as our craft cocktails, including our famous true Wisconsin Brandy Old-Fashioned, made with Press House Brandy and our signature blend of bitters.
This will also be the first day Wollersheim Bistro will return to service after our seasonal break. The Bistro will be open from 11am-4pm to enjoy paninis, soups, quiche and desserts. And of course, Wollersheim Wines are also available for purchase to enjoy by the glass.
We hope you can join us!
