Estate-Grown Dry Red Wine
Gaining in popularity, we are excited to share a fresh new Wollersheim red wine. Prairie Sunburst Red is a soft, gentle and stylish fruity red made from locally grown deep blue Foch grapes. This wine is bursting with berry fruit flavors reminiscent of raspberries and embraces a new trend of softer reds. A fuller and rounder wine than its predecessor the Prairie Red.
Grape: 100% Marechal Foch, estate and Wisconsin grown
Production Method: Crushed, destemmed and fermented on the skin for 6 to 10 days, extracting the softness and youth of this fruity red.
Aging: unoaked, no barrel aging; bottled early winter
Sweetness: dry
Alcohol: 12%
Serving Temperature: 50º - 58º
Ageability: 2 - 3 years
History: started making Prairie Sunburst Red in 2008
