1 ½ oz Wollersheim Wisconsin Apple Brandy
1 tablespoon spiced compound butter (see note)
6 oz Apple Cider
Garnish: Cinnamon stick, star anise

Add brandy, cider, and compound butter into a sauce pan and heat until the butter has dissolved and the liquid is steaming. Pour into a heat proof mug. Garnish with cinnamon stick and/or star anise.

To make spiced compound butter (this compound butter recipe will make enough for about 20 servings and will keep for several weeks in the refrigerator):

2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Mix all of the ingredients using an electric mixer until everything is blended together. Place butter onto a sheet of plastic wrap and roll into a log shape. Keep refrigerated until ready to use.
