2012/2013 Calendar of Events
THE MIGHTY OAK TAWNY PORT FUNDRAISER
What a wonderful evening on January 26th and we’re glad so many could join us! We would like to thank the many people who helped make our Mighty Oak Tawny Port Fundraiser a success. Thank you to Sundara Inn & Spa of Wisconsin Dells for providing hors d’oeuvres, to Carr Valley Cheese of Sauk City for providing cheeses, to Blue Spoon Café’ of Prairie du Sac for providing desserts, to General Beverage for providing other Port wines, to Daniel Anderson and Katie Gaynor for providing the music, and to the winery staff for their time. From the bottom of our hearts, a huge thank you to all for your generosity. All ticket sales for the evening, as well as the anticipated sales of the 276 Mighty Oak Tawny bottles were donated. We presented a check for $32,000 to the cause of Brain Cancer Research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center in Madison.
PORT CELEBRATION

A break from Wisconsin’s winter! Join us as we celebrate both our Port wines, red Port 2010, plus our new White Port 2010. Take a behind the scenes look at the making of our Port wines. Sample both the red Port and White Port, along with other Wollersheim wines available for tasting and by the glass. Enjoy live jazz, light food and insights on Port wine from winemaker, Philippe Coquard. (No admission fee. Open to the public.)
Plus, the Pose with Port Photo Contest is back on our Facebook page!
Whether it’s enjoying a glass of Port with food, family & friends, or in faraway places, we want you to show us what your favorite Port combination is! Photo entries are accepted until noon on January 27th, with voting kicking-off online and at our Port event on Saturday, January 28th. The winner receives a $50 winery gift card, and will be featured in our February e-newsletter, as well as on our Facebook page.

WINERY OPEN HOUSE
Saturday & Sunday, March 3 & 4, 2012
10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Our annual Open House offers grapevine pruning, cooking with wine demonstrations, and winemaking explanations scheduled each day. Visits through the winery’s modern fermentation facilities and historic underground aging cellars take place throughout the day, plus bottling line demonstrations and interactive displays are available for families to enjoy along a self-guided tour.(No admission fee. Open to the public.)
