PRAIRIE FUMÉ PICNIC DAYS
Saturday & Sunday, June 20 & 21, 2009
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Prairie Fumé Picnic Days event. We hope you had a relaxing and fun time! Congratulations to Anna Coleman of Madison, WI and Cara Ziaya of Rice Lake, WI. They were winners of our Scavenger Hunt drawing each receiving a winery picnic basket complete with three picnic wines (Prairie Fumé, Prairie Blush and Prairie Sunburst Red) plus wine glasses so they could enjoy .
Answers to our Prairie Fumé Scavenger Hunt are as follows:
- The grape used to make our Prairie Fumé is Seyval Blanc.
- Prairie Fumé has earned 267 medals and special honors in its 20 years.
- Three different types of Prairie Fumé merchandise found at our hillside cave included: Prairie Fumé hat, Prairie Fumé patio umbrella, Prairie Fumé acrylic glasses, Prairie Fumé t-shirt, or Prairie Fumé chair.
- According to the banner hanging in our Fermentation Room, you should, "Fall in Love again with Prairie Fumé.
- Since Prairie Fumé's introduction 20 years ago, we have produced 3,792,197 bottles.

Taste the 2009 Ruby Nouveau wine, the first wine of the new harvest, in the winery Vineyard Room along with an array of specialty Wisconsin cheeses. The Ruby Nouveau is an estate-grown dry red with enticing fresh flavors and a zesty finish. It is the perfect holiday wine as it is meant to be enjoyed young and pairs well with holiday foods, such as Thanksgiving turkey.
