HISTORIC CAVE RIBBON CUTTING

Join us as we celebrate American wine history with the ribbon cutting of our restored cave! This historic cave is where American wine pioneer, Agoston Haraszthy, once aged wine. "It is a beautiful cave, a beautiful part of history. We want to share it with all and make sure it is enjoyed and visited by all." ~Winemaker Philippe

At 11:00 am, we will cut the ribbon and “christen” the cave with a bottle of wine marking the official opening of the cave. A celebratory toast will follow, along with Wisconsin cheese and sausage.

Note: The cave will be open 11 am – 4 pm throughout the summer for viewing historic pieces, such as a press and barrel, along with pictures of the four families that contributed to this property’s history.
ICE WINE RELEASE

Celebrate the release of Wollersheim Winery Ice Wine 2012! Enjoy a taste of this “Nectar of the Vines” along with a few other Wollersheim wines, plus take a self-guided Ice Wine tour with visit to the vineyard where the Ice Wine grapes hang until they freeze hard as marbles. A cheesecake plate and all Wollersheim wines by the glass will be available to purchase. Live harp music will enhance this tasting experience. The Winery Store will be open extended hours until 6:00 pm.

RUBY NOUVEAU RELEASE DAY

In addition to our Saturday, November 23rd's festivities, join us Thursday, November 21 at 11:00 am as Winemaker Philippe taps the Ruby Nouveau 2013 barrel. This 11:00 am toast will be celebrated with Wisconsin cheese & sausage.

Our Ruby Nouveau is Wisconsin’s version of a Beaujolais Nouveau, traditionally released the third Thursday in November. Our Ruby Nouveau is made from our estate-grown Foch grapes and Winemaker Philippe follows the traditional methods of whole berry fermentation.

RUBY NOUVEAU TASTING

Taste the first release of the new vintage, Wollersheim Ruby Nouveau 2013 wine and other Wollersheim wines paired with an array of specialty Wisconsin cheeses. Visit with a cheese expert and listen to live music while enjoying a glass of wine. Ruby Nouveau is an estate-grown dry red with enticing fruity flavors and a zesty finish. It is the perfect holiday wine as it is meant to be enjoyed young and pairs well with holiday foods.

A VINTAGE CHRISTMAS
